Moa Cuba
Moa is the most coffee-growing and mining city in Cuba.
The municipality of
Moa, province of
Holguin, is located at the eastern end of the province of Holguin, in Cuba.
In the first place, Moa is very mountainous and has only a small semi-flat strip on the Atlantic coast, to the north, and that is where the population groups are conglomerated.
Furthermore, it is in Moa where a
powerful nickel industry has developed, it has a fairly high annual production volume.
Moa is the head municipality of the province of Holguin.
Alejandro de Humboldt National Park Parque
Rich in fauna and flora with numerous autochthonous species, it is a national park that is located between Holguín and Guantánamo provinces.
It also has the name of the german scientist Alexander von Humboldt who visited the island in 1800 and 1801. The park is also a Heritage of Humanity since 2001.
Among the main endemic species of the park, we can see the Royal Woodpecker (almost extinct), the Parrot, the Catey, the Loggerhead Hawk, the Almiquí, the Dracena, the precious Polyimite, the Jutía. Manatee, reptiles, and fish also live in this area.
The east park also concentrates beautiful landscapes, broadleaf forests, and pine forests. The rivers in this park have very crystalline waters and several waterfalls.
El Toldo peak is its highest with 1,117 meters high, around it you will find several rural populations.
